Actually my partner and I are expecting our first kid in ten weeks, so I was hoping to get it buttoned up before then

Do try and keep to that target, whatever it takes.

Cos if you do, you’ll have a nice old Norton to ride once in a while, giving you some nice meditation time! If you don’t, when the new human arrives, that old broken Norton will sit and fester at the back of the garage for a few (or a lot of) years !!

During my child minding slots I used to take mine into the workshop in their cots or car seats, and work away (quietly) whilst they slept on the workbench. I think that‘d be frowned upon these days !

The girls are 12 and 10 now, and whilst they’ve less than zero interest in motorcycles, whenever they come into the workshop now they say “ohh it smell lovely in here”. I’m convinced it’s cos of the time they spent sleeping in the calming odours of petrol and thinners fumes as pups !!

Agreed... Or watch it climb the: 'Why don't you get rid of... well you NEVER USE it anymore' list :)

haha on there's no way i'm giving up this bike. She knows there's oil in my veins. I had to sell the bike three years ago, but tracked down the owner and got it back in March.

I'm sure I can make room for a couple swings, cots, car seats and play pens in the garage. whatever it takes.

For shame suggesting our bikes were built on worn outdated machinery.......... Ohhh1 The pain!
