I just mounted a new 3-phase Sparx regulator, as part of the Sparx 3-phase alternator upgrade kit.

I mounted the regulator behind the battery, on a bracket bolted to the metal plate between he battery area and the fender.

I removed the old rectifier & taped off the wires. Taped off the wires at the 2 Zener diodes as well.

To make room for the Sparx regulator, I removed the (optional?) blue 2MC Capacitator that was below the starter solonoid.

Wires connected to the 2MC Capacitor:
- 2 reds to 1 terminal
- 1 brown/blue to another terminal
- 2 brown/blues to another terminal

I taped off each of these wires that had gone through the Capacitator.

I connected everything per spec for the new Regulator (black to the other side of the fuse from the battery, red to a frame ground, and 3 yellows to the alternator leads). But lo and behold, I have no power anywhere (horn, lights, ignition). Fuse is OK, etc.

I suspect the brown/blues that went through the capacitor need to be connected to each other.

Is that the trick?

Yes, connect the brown/blue wires from the 2MC together and that should cure your problem.
