Wiring problems wont start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know what the two Silver condensers are and how they should be wired?
The pic is from my 71 norton commando.

Those are the points condensers. The lead should be connected to the point's insulated terminal (one on each point) and the case is bolted to ground. On your bike, you should have two wires going down to the points, just connect a condenser to the place each wire ends up (should be the coils) and bolt the condenser's cases to a good ground.

It looks as if those two condensers have been fitted to replace the originals, or to be used as 'spares' in an emergency?

Because the two original condenser wires (Black/White & Black/Yellow) seen in the photo appear to be connected to the original 2CP double condenser pack?

Try removing the wires from the 2CP and connect each wire to a 'spare' condenser and see if that improves the starting?
