Which Harley...

Thanks, do you think 13.2“ is long enough? Does it increase lean angle adequately?

What pipe have you got? the 2:1 systems I’ve seen are a tad too noisy for me I think. Slip ons on the stock pipes were more what I was thinking along the lines of.

Once you raise the rear, it kind of makes the seating position more enjoyable, and helps with "lean"
I got Two brothers, they sound great, not too loud if you keep the baffle in there. But i think i'll be swapping that out for something like the S&S 2 into 1

Yeah I get that about the seat height, I’ve heard of folk going even longer though. Just looking at the bike seems to make it obvious the rear needs raising!

Which S&S you going for?

I wish you’d learn how to post pictures, and then, you know, post some pictures !

I brought my wideglide in 2002 and started to have a play, progressive shocks & fork springs fork brace floating discs [13 inch front] followed by a few motor "improvements" 1550 pistons, Screamin Eagle Heads [hand ported] HSR42 Supertrapp 2 into 1 etc I have seen 100 hp on a dyno. Having bought my first Harley in 1991 a FXLR Lowrider Custom and having had a few Harleys- Roadking, Ultra Classic, Nightrod etc apart from my Nortons The Wideglide is the "old shoe" that still fits best.

Here you go haha, easy and simple to do so.

Which Harley...

At the HD Dealer Pre long trip inspection, 700 KM ride over 2 days down to the tip of Oman (Ras AlHadd)
Ohlins Front cartidges NIX 30 MM , compression & Dampening adjusting, and rear HD 764 Blacklines 13.2" Height , same adjustments.

Which Harley...

Sportster on the left, Then my FXDLS with the ohlins, and then my buddies FXDLS stock suspension, And last one is a Street bob with stock suspension. You can see the difference in height, The Dyna frame does sit low stock.
Which Harley...

Here's one from the other side.

Which Harley...

My 2008 883R chopped, slammed rear, with 4" over stock forks with progressive springs in the front. Just around town kind of bike, super easy to ride. Waiting for the weather to cool down, and start with an S&S E carb swap with ALtmann P3 Ignition.

Thanks for the pics Dune, great stuff !

The side by side pics against the stock bike really show the difference in ride height. Yours looks SO ‘right’ by comparison.

What make are the floating discs?

I see you’ve gone a bit SOA with the risers and faring !

After watching SOA, I throw money out the window. anyone who had a Dyna would have gotten the Cash haha. Rode my friends FXDLS, and was sold instantly, It aint the best handling, nor the fastest or most powerful, but the torque and the low sounding pops and bangs got to me.

Disks are Galfer rotors and pads, they're pricey, but do great, Once theyre all done and out I might just swap to Brembo.

Thanks! Now to add a Norton in the garage, Too many cars, need Bike variety, The Bonnie does well, with fox shocks, progressives, exhaust. air box delete, and carbs have larger jets.

Dune, it is clean, and it should be, it’s only done 900 miles from new (yes, nine hundred) !

Craig, it’s a 2016 Dyna Low Rider S. These came with the 110ci Screamin’ Eagle motor. It was box stock, I had the dealer fit Vance and Hines slip ons and map it to suit. I really wanted a 2:1 but most I’ve seen are either too noisy or too long and fugly. Actually, I really like the sound with these slip ons so I‘ll probably keep it like this.

I also fitted longer Ohlins shocks from Dan Kyle on this forum (ordered on Friday and they came the following Monday, from USA to England !). I removed the dreaded orange reflector strips too.

Its a fantastic ride. Really pleased with it.

Not sure about the ‘bronze’ wheels though, they might be getting themselves black...

The V& H’s look true to bike , maybe the wheel colour will grow on you , I like the look plus hide road grime better than black , from my experience anyway , our earth here is kinda red ish ..... haha! ...... think I mentioned already very nice ride ! Do you have estimate of ride ready weight ..... my age demands lighter bikes or I’d be looking .... enjoy !

Nigel, I think the bronze will grow on you, give it time, let your wallet recover.

How bout some more photos when you get a chance.

Fair point boys, the bronze may well grow on me and it is ‘correct’ for the bike so I might let them be as I don’t wanna mess around with this too much. And yes, my wallet does need to recover !

Craig, I’ve read different figures for the bike fully wet, but it’s comfortably over 600lbs. It honestly doesn’t feel that bad, pushing it around whilst I was tinkering with it, it felt fine. But then when I wrapped up for the day, I pushed the T140 in and thought ‘wow, this is light’ well, it is a Limey Lightweight after all !

Will take some pics tomorrow, here’s a few to be going on with:
