Easy to make up different color sets of tanks and sidepanels depending on your mood. (Just takes money...)
I think about that alot. With all this recent rattle can talk, I will keep an eye out for cheap (condition is releative) tank and covers. I could, or you could, total change the bike in minute. It is hard to put a color on these bike that don't look good.

I mean, what's not to love?
WHICH COLOURS ARE BEST

^^^ Nice bike. :D
yep that combo is right up there with the best in my humble opinion,,,,,,,,how much moola $$$$$.

Here's what it looks like after paint. I know I didn't come up with this color combo.... but I tried just about everything before I sealed the deal. I think it turned out amazing.

it came in black and still have the black tank/sidecover set but I was really infatuated with the candy apple red
and had Craig at http://precisionmotorcyclepainting.com/ do this set, its shown in the gallery at

WHICH COLOURS ARE BEST

and then I found a highrider tank in orange, I like the tank proportions. The pic does not do it justice.

WHICH COLOURS ARE BEST

I agree with others that the fireflake sets are striking in the right light. Can't go wrong.

Johnnymac's black/red combo reminds me of a HRD (Howard Raymond Davies) look. I like Tpeever's candy apple. I'm afraid to ask, but what did the paint (color) cost? I just bought a pint of base coat color, nearly $100. One pint of color, one quart of reducer, one quart of clear and one pint of hardner ran me $197. Since I've not been in a paint store for quite some time, I was shocked. Add filler, primer, tape, sand paper, masking paper and wash, you're talking some real money. I'm starting to think paying a $1000 for a quality paint job, for the tank and panels, for a Norton would be not out of the question. Don't know how I got so many repeating prepositions in a sentence. Oh, well!

I paid $500 for side covers and tank. It included fixing little dings/dents and full paint. He even painted the logos and stripes....no decals. Local guy here in St. Louis. Liquid Illusions Art.
