It is really strange. When I have been in situations which were really dangerous, I knew they were life-threatening, but I still went there and the thought of dying was never in my mind. I don't believe I am a brave person, and I don't believe I am invincible - however I am not and have never been religious. I live my life ethically and manage the risks. So if the hob-goblins are waiting for me, it does not matter.
A lot of fear has it's origins in religion. I am not even anti-religion. I just don't care. I am 82 - what are my odds for getting past 90 ?
