Agreed, although we regularly blast into ‘illegal’ backroad territory - familiar with the area successfully avoiding our ‘friends in blue’ (usually!).:oops:

Lived in Germany for a decade+ in the 80s/90s - freedom on the autobahns back then was a real blast. Not sure it’s the same now. Maxing out the likes of GPZ1100/GPZ900R/998 Duc and holding it for a period - admittedly a bit scary - never to be repeated!

Love to try that on the ManxR!

Only verbal lists during interviews and podcasts CG. Manx has all of the usual tech you would expects for that market, plus the suspension monitoring/semi active, cornering cruise control(?). Six axis EMU - Bosch tech - huge ‘touch’ screen. Tech sounds where it should be+.

They’ve put some of this onto the Atlas, which is a bit surprising given the segment I think it’s aimed at. If you’ve got it developed though why not.

You’re missing my point.
All of the bikes you see at the shows are not production bikes. Sure, it may run and ride / drive, but it’s by no means a “production” bike.
Many don’t even have a vin number.
Many times these are given top details and prep. All eyes on deck. It’s a model.

The small ADV twins are a bit bland, perhaps they need to be to attract buyers. I'm sure they'll have other models soon with the same 'platform'.. a naked, a scrambler, maybe a mini sports bike etc. While the Manx R with its carbon wheels will be the most expensive model, IMO Norton will have a cheaper Manx none R, without the carbon wheels and top end brakes etc. Just like Ducati..
 
Just my opinion but Ducati have been making Superbikes forever and have only notched up 2 wins and a couple podiums at the TT in the last 30 years. BMW's S100R was launched 11 years ago and has multiple wins and podiums at the TT and also WSBK champion manufacturer last 2 years.

BMW has not won a MotoGP constructor or rider title.

Thanks for that. Not surprising, seeing as they are producing other MFG bikes, so they can take tech off those or copy as needed.

Correct and the TT isn’t the only race in the world. Some people seem to forget that.
