I am putting full length fork gaiters on my 73. What is the best size hole and where is it best located? Thanks.

If your referring to the drain/air hole on a gaiter? My gaiters have about an 1/8" hole facing to the rear on my 73' Commando.

Thanks Tim. Is your hole in the rear at the bottom or top?

Water and sewage flows down hill so drains always at low point.
I don't know about gaiter length, except on my two Combat I had to cut them and tuck sections together or they tended to bind up on full compression, still sort of does but figure it just help the harsh hits mine get now and then silently softly.
I zip tie the tops but leave bottoms free floating and tucked in seam at bottom
1.5-2" section.

The gaiter's I have can only be fitted one way up. The bottom part goes over the collar that holds the fork seals and so is much larger than the top hole.

The hole on my gaiters is on the backside bottom. The larger diameter end goes down smaller end up obviously. No trimming necessary if you buy genuine norton.
