I have a 70, 750, just changed to new coils as my mechanic thought my spark was a little weak. Went to 6 volt coils although I don't know what the previous ones were, they weren't marked. Trying to find or build quality wires and was hoping for suggestions. I do have the boyer set up also, Thanks.

I made a set from a universal MSD Streetfire V8 kit (about $40) and they work great and I have enough material left over to do a few more bikes. The kit came w/ a clever crimp tool that works in a vice...
(I used black wires, not red)

mapcycle.com they're in FL.

It's a bit hard to find parts on their web page. Either download their catalogue or give them a call.

I make my own with wire and fittings that I buy at my local NAPA / hardware store. If you want solid core wire they still sell it for lawn & garden equipment.

Plugs, wires and caps all can have 5000-ish ohm resistance but electronics protection only needs one of these R components in place. Copper leads are easier to fab terminals and eliminates the calculations of lead length to get R value in ballpark. If ya like British race style check out Moss Motors "Bumblebee" leads, yellow with black stripe.

I use an old Honda double ended coil and I don't think it's possible to change the leads . However I've often wondered about those leads intended to give suppression of radio interference, my preference has always been for copper cored plug leads . However I am very old-fashioned .
