Hi Everyone,

I have noticed that there are some cool looking cars in background pictures of bike photos. Let’s see what you got!

Mine is a 1990 BMW 325ic family cruiser.

Mine is a 1978 Ford F-100 Shorty

2WD, 351W, C6, 9"

Had it since 1993. Was my daily driver for a while. Been siting now for almost 9 years. Needs some love.

Hope to start working on it after the new building is up next year.

I have a '66 Ford Galaxie Convertible wih a 390 and a C-6 automatic. Most of the mechanical work is done except to convert the manual drum front brakes to power discs. Cosmetic work has not begun. Fix the rust, paint, new top and interior. I've had it for quite a few years and it's a driver. In nice weather, it gets exercised once a month or so.

My new four wheeler, a 2015 Kia Soul:

It's my daily driver. Having more fun with this car than any other I've ever owned. The unique styling has really grown on me. When I park it I'll walk away, stop, and look back at it just like I do with my bikes. :D

Nothing special, just the family barge. A 2003 Kia Sedona minivan(people carrier). It's the right size for me and DW along with two yellow Labs. It's just coming up on 101K miles from when we bought it new and has never put a foot wrong.

Better than 19 mpg would be an improvement, but for a 4800 lb car with a 3.5L V-6 it's not bad. It's a heck of a lot better than our (recently sold) 32' Class A motor-home got!

Here a pic of my 1974 Triumph TR6, this car has spent the first 20 years of its life in California, and was re-imported to europe in the mid 1990's.
The car was mechanically in a neglected state, the bodywork survived resonably well due to the Calofornian Climate. It took me 3 years to restore it to the as new condition it is in today.

No room in my garage for something so mundane as a car  the car is outside and nothing out of the ordinary, a 2006 Toyota Matrix AWD. My next car will be an all electric vehicule with 4 wheel drive. The most likely one to fill the bill sonn looks like a KIA Soul AWD ( http://www.autoblog.com/2015/01/29/kia- ... t-chicago/ )

Makes little sense to me Jean, considering the vast distances in Canada, and the limited range and long charging time of electrical vehicles.
Also from an environmental point of view it still does not make much sense, most electricity today is still generated by coal and oil, but unfortunately , when it comes to electricity, many people do not look beyond the socket on the wall.
Electric cars were around more than a century ago, and most of the negative acpects of a century ago still apply today, no matter what the politicians try to tell us.

Just hold out a bit longer on electrics till fuel cells replace most the battery bank then you really will be way ahead of the crowd and I'll be close behind.

Animal and THE Gravel impacts break down my Lexus 400 after 8 yrs here so got cheap beater tougher early 90's Olds Cutlass but rats ate sensor wires so ran rough to blow manifold gasket coolant into the oil. 2nd Cutlass had two deer strikes, 2nd one damaged alu radiator but held until last summer Salt Lake trip then blew and ruined engine on turnpike. Found a '93 and invested in robust custom grill that also hold feed bag from sliding off hood delivering to wife duck/chicken coup.,

Here in Québec, 97% of the electricity is produced by hydraulic dams, none is produced by fossil fuels. Some may not like the fact that the reservoirs take up forest land, but the reservoirs take only a tiny fraction of the territory. We have 40% of the hydraulic resources in Canada with over 130,000 rivers and more than 1,000,000 lakes, all fresh water. The province of Québec covers twice the area of Texas and is about equal to Alaska so taking up "unused" land for reservoirs is not a major problem.

Being retired I do much less than 100Km per day, some days, I don't use the car at all. Only when I go to see my brother in Toronto or friends in Québec or in the Saguenay do I need to cover more than most all electric cars can do in one charge. My plan is to give my current car to my daughter and when I do need to travel far, I will just switch with her for a few days.

I am looking past the plug :D
