Where is the "Norton" brew made/sold? I've never seen it in Washington State.

Hi,
by Holgate brewery in Victoria, Australia.

Will get their inspiration for this soon and post here.

As in the US, craft brewing is popular in the UK, but not as popular as drinking craft beer, with me at least. There are lots of my favourite style, well hopped, sort of IPAish. Even bargain basement supermarkets have a range round here.
My favourite is Proper Job from the St Austell Brewery in Cornwall. Next is Timothy Taylor's Landlord, which has been around for decades, so it really predated the modern craft beer thing. Followed by an almost inexhaustable supply of others - local, regional or national.

Winter is coming and I tend to turn to wine for drinking in the cold dark months. A couple of favourites from the the Southern Rhone, Chateau Pigeade have several reds I like. They are situated in the Beaume de Venise AOC, which is normally famous for sweet whites, but their hand picked red bearing the nearby Vaccarayas AOC is stunning.
Slightly further south into the Luberon is the once rather drear village of Coustellet. It has worked hard to get itself together and is now quite the popular destination. Several good restaurants. Two great and proper farmers markets and a large Cave Co Operative. They produce quite a range of wines being a co op, with not all their growers producing consistantly excellent grapes, but they do exercise decent quality control and my favourite is Quercus, the red, a fine Cotes du Luberon AOC. As the name hints there is a very well balanced creamy oak to balance the full fruit of the grenache/mourvedre grapes.
Buy early, it always sells out by September.
They also produce a decent method tradionelle fizz in a couple of levels of dry/off dry.

Just drank my last one of these (for the season) yesterday:

Picked up twelve of these as replacements:

Been looking for this, but it may be out-of-stock locally.

Ive liked San Miguel dark beer since the 70's. Its very hard to find where I live, never consistently stocked. Growing up with Bud, Coors, (yuck) etc. trying a dark beer was a shock, hated it at first.
