What are these parts? Head steady?

Hey guys, these parts came with the norton commando 750 basket case in a box. Anyone know what these are? Was gonna put them on flea bay , i powder coated them but dont see a use.

The bottom one is an early Commando head steady. They were well known for cracking (mine had) and were upgraded to a box section type.
There’s weld repair or strengthening to it.
There’s a few “lightning” holes added (or is that taken away?) ala Malcolm of Ogri fame.

If it was mine I’d chuck it in the bin, but it’s not so feel free to try and sell it.

Yes, but it wouldn't normally look like that which possibly explains the welding as it appears to have been modified.

It looks to me as if the side plates (part 4) have been reversed and welded on.

I was thinking that perhaps it might have been fabricated to be a connection for a hoist to lift the engine about or I could be completely wrong.

I have no idea. I have no need for it. Just bonus parts that came in the box of this basket case. There was alot of unusual hacks done to this bike its looking better now. Came with parts from older model I think. Building from the ground up. First norton project. I didnt know if there was a market for these or what to call it (paper weight??) Haha I am trying to post extra parts on ebay to sell cheap. Thanks guys.
