New member here, I've been surfing the forums for a while, and looking for a Dominator SS for quite some time, Just confused with differences between the Dominator and the rest of the line up.

Yes I can see the rear swingarm and suspension, but what else?

Riding for 6 years, owning a Bonneville Centennial Edition, and a Harley Low Rider S with Ohlins and big brakes for road trips.

Same engine , different airbox , different rear sub-frame and monoshock swingarm. But the Domi seat sits higher (very noticeable to me) , at least the ones I sat on and if you use the Domi foot rest frames , pegs are higher up too . Unless you are accustomed to riding a bike like this , it can be torture after a while in the saddle . But you say you've got your Harley for that. A good looker for sure no doubt especially with the Alum Tank ! Because of the larger air box and less restricted air inlet location it may have slightly more power too !

Thanks for the reply Tony,
Its just crazy how you can't find information on these beauties. Maybe I should consider a 961 as an entry to the brand then, 4 Hernias in my spine wont be happy with a Domi haha.

Really interested in adding a Norton to my collection of Cars n bikes, any recommendations?

I own both a Commando sf and a dominator naked.
Here’s the difference.
Dominators have clip ons.
unless it’s the dominator street.

Dominators have different frames and swing arms.

Dominators have different air boxes, seat foam and tail housings.

Dominators have different foot peg location and foot control frames “IF” you run the megaphone exhaust.

Dominators have different headlight mounting and different brake lights and tail / brake light mounting.

Dominators have different heel guards if you’re running the megaphones.

Dominators have a tubular plate holder.

Dominators have different triple clamps if your running clip ons.

Dominators have a single rear coil over.

Dominators have side plates for aesthetics.

Dominators have different side stands.

In my opinion ALL DOMINATORS MUST RUN MEGAPHONES lol.

Voodoo, the 50th anniversary 961's have the same front end as the Dominator.

Voodoo, Thanks for the proper detailed comparison, So the only similarities would be the Engine, and headlight.
Now im back to square one, to look for a Dominator, I had a chance to get one in '17, and '18. and now I regret not getting one.

Basically the calipers, rotors, engine and trans are the same.

I believe Caynon Motorcycles (a member on this forum) is selling his "Naked". Shoot him a PM

I thought Canyon just got that bike a few months ago
Yes but its recently been listed on his website

front end meaning?
Forks, clamps, headlight and mount, fly screen on all the Anniversary. The CR also has the Dommie top yoke, brake/clutch master and levers. I think the only difference is the front mudguard and stays.

Yes the look is awesome . Become part of the family , but think about how to service it. If you do your own work even better.

Couldn't find Canyon MC on the website, any info I could get to contact him ?

I've contacted a couple of shipping companies out of the UK, Looking at the one for Sale on Bonhams, will bid on Saturday.
I have Adrians contact I’ll get him in touch with you.
