What’s the best none Norton Norton ?

I wouldn’t hold your breath Tony.

AFAIK CCM don’t have a dealer network as such. Even warranty and servicing is done at the customer house by a man in a van from the factory.

I’d be surprised if that concept was exportable to the US...

I like the way CCM offer their servicing like this. Very convenient and you can I guess watch and learn at the same time. It would make holding on to my 961 long term more viable

It will have an importer, but we don't know anything yet.
This is the response to my subscription to the mailing list:

Thank you for your enquiry into the purchase of one of our Stunning Spitfire motorcycles.
Unfortunately the current spitfire range is only homologated for registration in the UK and cannot be provided with a COC certificate.
The good news is we are currently working on a E5 homologated version of the Spitfire which will be available to order from Mid-2021.
I will add you to our mailing list so when more information is available we can let you know
Kind Regards

Hello FE , What kind of Harley did you rent when you took your trip in the States ?

I rode a Road King when I did the R66 trip. Also rode a Street Glide and a Softail in the US previously. Road King was fabulous... but WAY too big and WAAAY too heavy for me over here.

I came very close to buying a Sport Glide. But went for this 2016 Dyna Low Rider S, this is the one they put the 110ci (1800cc) Sreamin’ Eagle engine in.

Lovin’ it !

Holy Crap ! You bought a Harley ?

Yeah, kinda...
They are actually a good value here. You can find a nice one for not too much money. Also , it's hard to argue with the comfort they provide. And it looks like you got some decent brakes on it.

Took my bobber TFC on a 100+ mile ride today with my cousin on his brand new HD FXDR.
I’m actually impressed with the Triumph. Being it’s 1200cc, it pulls hard.
His bike has the Milwaukee 8 114 cubic inch. Nice bike for a HD.

On a second gear roll at 30 mph my cousin and I raced. I pulled his HD about 2-1/2 to 3 bike lengths to 80mph.
We then did a 3rd gear roll at 45 mph and he got the lead on me but I reeled him in holding neck to neck at around 90 mph.
I think I could inch him out if we kept going. But I will say in typical HD fashion, his bike with him on it is around 200-220 pounds heavier then my bike with me on it.

In all honesty , The real reason I didn't buy the Speed Twin is it would steal too much time away from the Norton.

I think it would steal nearly all the time away from the Norton Tony!

@ Scott, there’s no question that the 1200 Thaiumph motors are STRONG...!

Very true , once the Ducati and the Griso arrived in my shed , the Commando became a tank of fuel per season ride , still lots of time spent on improving it etc. through the cold months , just not much seat time once the Italians came home with me ....

I own the Griso 1100, it's fantastic!
It's my touring bike, but the 961 is lighter and for day rides I prefer it

Hello Scott , Is this the cousin that had the BMW R9T and now he has a Harley also ?

It will if you let it. Do you think they will make the 961 again ? Or is this the end of the road ?
