I haven't talked our lass into jumping on the back yet, it doesn't look too inviting to be honest, at least I won't be able to hear her screaming over the exhaust. :D

Calm down guys, it is clean again. I have to nip out on it in a bit to get it warm because I am going to give it it's first service as the oil filter arrived this morning.

No problem Baz, I find caressing those cans with a micro fibre cloth strangely erotic! Oh, that sounds a bit strange! Never mind! You would just need to keep me supplied with good quality beer.

Or like my mate who doesn’t give a flying f*** what his bikes look like.

My trouble is, I like my bikes to be clean, but I hate cleaning ‘em !

Very nice Tony, definitely enhances the front end although I also liked the swept back look of the clocks

Very nice Tony, definitely enhances the front end although I kinda liked the shape of the clocks when
naked also. Lost count of the number of aftermarket fairings I’ve bolted on to various bikes over the decades - most of them bloody ugly! Seemed like a good idea at the time. Like that one though, very period appropriate.

I would pay good money for some clever individual to professionally mount the Thruxton race fairing to the 961. Now that would look the ‘dogs danglies’!

A buddy of mine bought a 2016 Ducati Monster 1200R this past year, and I have had an opportunity to ride it a couple of times. Pretty sweet bike. Like my Norton, best keep the revs over 3000, but where the Norton pulls with authority, the Duck wants to literally rip your arms off!! If it wasn't for the catcher's mitt shaped seat, it would be leaping right out from under you!!

Damn, he must get so bored riding with me on my little 750... I keep telling him he needs to buy a less capable bike so that riding with me is at least somewhat exhilarating - LOL!!

Instead, what does he do? He adds a 2012 CBR1000RR to his fleet last week - took it for a ride on Sunday - WOW!!
