Wet sumping=messy floor

Good thing about living in Queensland, Australia is we can ride all year round and the best time to ride the Norton is winter, the motor runs so nice and cool, I have owned my 850 since new and have never had any problems with wet sumping and I also rum my engine breather into a collection bottle between my engine mounts as long as the bottle has a open top so it still breathes and it never gets that much oil in it over the years I have used a bottle, I have used this bottle since I put the 850 into a featherbed frame in 1980...

I swear, if Nortons didn't wet sump, someone would invent a gadget that caused them to. Touting the benefits of having oil slowly moving through the lube system when not running. And I'd probably buy into it. I guess if your only experience has been with wet sump engines, those that store the oil in the crankcase, the Norton dry sump filling with oil may seem a bit of a PITA. Harmful it's not.
