You gentlemen certainly are on the ball. Yesterday I replaced the rear 100/90 19"Avon Superdoopa Venom with a new Roadrider !00/90 & guess what? The weave has gone. I sat on the M55 at between 90 & 100mph for several miles with, out being in fear of my life. The bike still feels less secure (that on rails feeling) than I would like , so the shocks are going back to Maxton for mods. & a change of springs. Hopefully this might give it a more glued to the road feeling.
Thanks for all the replies. I will report back at a later date.
Cheers,
Martyn.

Good news! I am also impressed that you like taking your Commando up to that speed, i.e. riding it as it was intended to be ridden!

If they looked good enough to fool ya, I'll pay shipping to finish em off.

One thing I never tried when chasing the "weave" was to simply demount and remount the same tire. It's possible that it was the mounting and not the tire causing the weave.

Ugh on Ms Peel guess how i learn phase 4 handling - by being in a hurray I mounted rear seeing the bead lines somewhat out of line but no way to feel for weave and wobble on THE Rutted Slutty Stuff so about 1 mile on secondary road @ 50's mph it came off the rim so as rear passed my hip I broke off steering stop and bend bars into tank freak out straight steer that hi sided bike to land inline enough to fight it to a stop off the other side of the shallow grass ditch. Then limped home stopping every now and then to cut the bead wires tangle away. I doubt you mounted as bad as I did and multitudes or folks have discovered new tire solved the weaving wobbles but yes only way to know is remount them and let us know please.

Full flats at speed can injure the bead and casing so not good wisdom to run em again so I like to have spares on hand. With the thin gasket chisels as tire tools changing tires has become one of the easier maintaince tasks. If I don't like a tire handling I just play a bit more on THE Gravel on it till its soon trash but more loose as a goose handling skill thrills under my belt.
