Anyone have advise on how to attach the hex screw on the manifold. There is very little room on the inside one.

A ball end Allen wrench would be a good start

I’m sorry, I’m thinking of the Allen bolts that fasten the manifolds to the head. Try taking the manifolds off, then you can access the hex bolts that fasten the carbs to the manifolds.

They should be nuts on studs attaching the carbs to the manifolds. It helps to use a cut down key on the Allen head screws.
Note that the original Whitworth key size is 5/16" however if the Whitworth screws have been replaced with UNC screws then the key size will be 1/4".

Mine use a 7/32" hex key, for the 5/16 bolt size.

I heated & rotated the end 30 degrees on an additional 7/32", use both.
