Howdy doody all, Just got back from Phillip Island Moto GP.
Great week end if you'r an Aussie or Honda man.
Here's a few pics of some of the bikes brought in to town for Saturday morning.
And a couple for those who haven't been there yet.




Spoke to the owner about this one. He bought it from the original owner, who bought it over from USA.
It was ordered new from the Factory with Alloy rims.

Thanks for the pics AC, beautiful track, shame they don't have the GP the first race of the year so the weathers better. We're still drying out from last year. Were you at southern loop or siberia? And there are no adds on your Chanel

Conditions make the skill or otherwise , and discernment of the riders more evidant .
Would just be a thrash merchant tour otherwise .Strange to hear conditions desribed as diabolical .
Obviously not a I.o.M. regular .
Would have been a intresting race in they were all on Domiracers !

Did you purloin any debri for souvenirs ?

Great pics, Aussie, thanks for posting. I was watching that gp on Speed the other night, a really fast race. I only wish they showed more of the island as you have, a beautiful place, some awesome classics, and (I'm assuming) some fine locally brewed ales as well.

Sorry no debri found it's way into my hands, only some empty Four X cans, bugger didn't take a pic of the Four X Pub
for the boys to see.
The Four X (XXXX) Beer company (Castlemain) have a Beautifull big Rig that opens out into an old ramshackle Aussie Pub
where one can go for some Fluid Replenishment, and a little Dancing Girl Entertainment. We 're all gentleman here.
Graeme we were in the last stand (E) at the Loop, turn 3 or 4. We could see them come down the last part of the straight
at 300 + and into turn one, which incidently I reckon has a good 4 feet of camber, around the loop to turn 3 and 4 and off up
towards that tight right hander going out to Siberia. Then Siberia down to the next right hander.
At turn 4, the left hander, going up to the tight right hander, KC was the only one going up a gear just before the corner,
all the others would button right off. He litterally looked like he was on a Speedway bike some times, the way he threw it into
the corner and slid it out. Unreal. They asked him about after the race and he said "it's a bit of fun that one, fith gear....."
I think it will be called Stoner Corner pretty soon.
There were a couple of Vincents there, Swoosh, I like.
I never get tired of looking at old bikes Don.
