Vincent speedo gear removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the speedo drive gear on a Vincent front wheel? Need to remove the brake drum.

The big internal gear inside the brake drum.

That one is a press fit. Removal is done with a three arm puller.

Ah, thanks Glen! I couldn't find any info on it, and don't want to break something....

No problem Bill. I was mistaken in calling it an internal gear, it is actually a regular ring gear. I was thinking gear inside brake drum= internal, not quite right tho!
The one complaint I have about Vincents is the lack of a proper workshop manual. Instead of a manual there are several books, each containing good info, but none with all of the info.
There is a short reference to the speedo ring gear and it's removal in Paul Richardson's book "Vincent Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair" I couldn't find any reference to the gear in any of the other four books I use. Last time I removed that gear was about ten years ago and I wanted to make sure my memory was correct.

That's a complaint I've had. I can't believe, with all the hoo-hah about Vincents over the years, that no one has written a real manual with photos and all the info in one place! C'mon VOC!
