Valve Covers & Points Cover (2020)

@olympus Edward Bilton-Smith (AKA Sir Eddy) died a couple of years back.
There is a great video here which was put together by his family:



He had some really interesting ideas around engineering, and getting the most out of a Norton twin which I found fascinating.

He was building his ultimate dream, and was planning to do some speed trials on the salt with the goal of breaking records, but unfortunately he passed away before he fulfilled his dream.

When he died, his family stepped up, and as a tribute to him, they carried on the work.

A few special people got involved (like Jim Comstock) to finish Eddy's work and it has been amazing seeing it happen.

Regarding the covers, these were made by Eddy. after he saw the poor quality Dunstall ones that were being sold by Unity Equipe - he knew he could make better, so went about designing them.
They are investment cast, and hand polished by him, and to my knowledge he only made a few hundred sets - part of the story is recalled on this thread:

I wanted them on my project bike as a tribute to him!

WOW! Those were almost too much! I have the same set as LAB show above, love them, but this was a step further.... I´m curious, what´s the story?

I have this one , hand polished up on a winter night.
Also the 2 drill holes for the attachment screws did not line up perfect so I filed the holes a tad bigger until it did match up with the T.C. cover smoothly. It's on the Wiseco/ Carrillo build 2 nd. motor to be dropped in if I ever find a place in the GTA to do the work.
