Uses for pop rivet stems

My wife even demands that precious garage space is to be used to park her car instead of more motorcycles. How selfish is that?
I had to look over my shoulder before replying - DON'T MENTION GARAGE SPACE!!!! (mine is half full of bikes and will never be able to accommodate a Suburban)

My garage is twice the size of my house. Plenty of room for wife’s car but in the nature of things I am still short of room for my toys.

That said, somehow I find room for my pop rivet stems and the cut off ends of plastic wire ties

What do you do with the cut off ends of cable ties?

You should start a new thread .... Uses for cut off ends of cable ties!

I will donate a package of 100 cable ties for the best suggestion.

This could end up being the endless thread , just got to love one with little to no controversy !!!
Craig

Pretty sure I just turf the cutoff zip ties , please try and come up something more colourful, eh !

You know, we visited the San Antonio Museum of Art, and I believe I could create passable high art with zip ties and pop rivets, if their current displays are typical of what gets exhibited there...

I use them for filler when repairing plastic bodywork with a soldering iron.

Thank you again TexasSlick for the vintage pop rivets. I just used 4 of 'em as shelf supports. I still haven't done any riveting with them yet.

@eskasteve

Does not count as use for pop rivet stems. If you can support the shelf with only the stems, you get one attaboy.
A thousand attaboys makes you a leader among men, but one awshyt wipes the slate clean and you have to start all over again.

The shelf rests solely on the stems. The rivet is part of the set and who am I to break up the band so to speak. I guess that the rivet is just kind of a shim and along for the ride like the one armed drummer of Def Leppard fame

When I took on the part of Judge, i never thought i would have to be the enforcer of the rules ...... a pop rivet stem is what one has when one pops the rivet ..... you are using unpopped rivets ..... awshyt!

:D all in fun, guys, all in fun.....

Who am I to question "The Man". You're right of course. Just me trying to gain more fame, glory, and maybe more pop rivets with such a shallow attempt. I'm just going to have to step up my game to the next level.

Love to be there when you overload the shelf, and it falls down!

What a bodge up shelf builder you are, I guess you will not use plastic/wood plugs and screws like everybody else?

C'mon, Bernhard, unless you have your tongue-in-cheek, it is obvious eskasteve is playing the game!

I think you are pulling a fast one, Steve! I detect compressive stress in that stack of tape rolls.
