Well it has been forever since my last post, and I've been busy trying to get my 74 850 done. The motor/gear box is in the shop and should be finished in the next month. Tear down is complete and rebuild is started. I've got most of the wiring complete, and just working on odds and ends until the motor is done. I've charged the front brake hydrolics, but I need to bleed some more air out as it is not 100% yet. I seem to have an issue with the outter puck not moving, so I may have to reservice it again. I've got most of the major components bought/ordered, so mostly it is the little things to buy to keep the rebuld going. I took a quick pic with my phone yesterday. I'm still debating taking my seat apart to have the pan powdercoated. It's a bit rusty underneath.

What do you guys think so far??

Looking good! You are miles ahead of me. Have you decided on what to do about paint for the tank and panels? I have been searching paint codes and found you could devote your life to it. No wonder so many of these bikes are black!

I already have tank and side covers done.... Big surprise, they are black. I actually needed a new tank and Brent at Vintage had one that he was doing, and I bought that one. Still cheaper than getting mine fixed and painted. Here are a few pic's.

The rims seem to be good, and rust free, but i would like to have them re-spoked.

As for your colors, pick your favorite and make it happen!

Darn fine!
I sense an anguishing rumbling, perhaps from that fact the spring is a long, long way off in Alberta.

Ya it feels like winter is getting ready to set in right now. I was trying to finsih it before winter, but the financial side and the motor not being done dictates otherwise. I was origionally going to rebuild the motor mself, but my dad who owned this bike before my uncle, wanted me to take it to the Brit shop here and he is paying to have the motor done by a pro. Should have it ready for a trip to the shop to have it's maden fire up in March or April.
