Gidday. Firstly i do not wish to re open the debate on whats best, single or twin etc, however, has anyone got the specs on which twin system of Mikuni works best. I have a std MK3 with big bore inch and 5/8 exhaust. I am interested in knowing round or flat slides, mm size and all the correct jets. Cheers.

Hello Hillbone,
Try this website http://www.jba.bc.ca/Bushmans%20Carb%20Tuning.html there are of course many others, for instance, http://www.nortonownersclub.org/ click "technical" then click "commando' then click "alternative carburettors. I am currently in the process of installing a single 34mm TM (flat slide), I also have 36mm and 34mm VM ( round slide) carbs that I bought off Ebay for cheap. Tuning info is easily found on the web for the VM series Mikunis, I have found a source for the TM settings that I am presently waiting to hear from.
There is a thread in this forum back in June 23, 2009 regarding the flatslide Mikuni, you may be interested in reading it.

from what I have picked up off this forum is that the Keihin FCR's are a better twin carb set up on a Commando, I am sure some one will tell me otherwise
