TVS News-2023 Annual Report. Does no news equal good news, or does hiding the news mean something?

Corrosion relates to material and coating quality. That’s different to build quality..

You’re not here to agree on anything; you want reactions and you post here to get them. Now you’ve gotten one, don’t be a sook. Hopefully you can actually leave it there; but I doubt it.

Hello , I have to back Gojuu on this . I have seen a poorly cared for Triumph 1200 Speed Twin and its finish gave me the same impression .

well guys I am not supose to comment on the commndo 961 has I have a copy of all 3 original blue print designs from kenny dreer, witch were desiged by students at calafornia techincal college as a part of there enginering thesis it just a basic redesign of the old commando to modern motorcycle standards but the crankshaft has had a center bearing added and a heaver built up crank and supose to be all balanced up to 270% firing order to smooth out the engine running but its seams to me that this alone as back fired on them, and norton history show that they have gone into addimistration over 4 times now, that saying something, Now I have test rididen the commando 961 and I found that the engine vibrates thoungh the rider foot rests and up into the seat base making for a unpleasant ride and the bike weight seams to be high up in the tank area, and the engine did not behive well at low speeds, like the new 650 BSA singel did on the test ride before a well thought out motorcyle it was a ran smooth even at low speeds , now back in 1948 Norton asked Brain mays of BRM to design a four cylinder engine to fit there featherbed frame one was desinged and ran great but at the time bracebridge did not have the tooling to manifacture this engine its sold on too Vanderville racing motors and was scaled up to 2000cc four DOHC engine and won many races at that time a missed opertunaty by Norton but its was invester driven at that time and investers wanted thire money back, the same story as Al mellings Nemasis V8 a good modern design still born a real same but they do say the Norton story will run and run but we will see has time passes

Morning Anna
If you are attending the branch meeting on the 18th, could you bring the 3 blueprints of the Kenny Dreer design as i,m sure club members as well as myself will be very interested in seeing them. Or better still, take them to the NOC AGM at the weekend and show them to the attendees there.
