23/02 @ 23.02 NW200

24/02 @ 10.10 a.m.

25/02 @20.30 IOM TT John McGuiness e.t.c. prepares for the TT.

Was this post intended to be about the programme on UK ITV4 ? I've been trying to connect as an ex-pat without much success.

To watch the UK channels online playback you need a UK IP address, you can rent this monthly, just do a search for UK IP address. Here's one but not used them

ITV 4 does good coverage of the IOM TT practise and raceweek with several programs each week plus the NW200.

Once you have access you can grab the video and download it using freedownload manager, I use this to grab Utube videos using the flash video download.

Thanks for that, I'll try your approach. The TV Anywhere 4 programme attempts to connect , but my computer always locks up. I'd really like to be able t o access UK TV, at presennt I rely solely on Youtube and the CRMC forum to get any insight into British classic racing. I probably should not even look, I'm like a moth beating my wings against a light. I will probably never get the money to return to the UK, and certainly won't ever get the opportunity to race there .

From this post it appears that some of you are trying to tune in and do not pay the U.K. TV licence; you lucky, lucky people if you can do this.
Don’t forget to post a thankyou to me for hitting the keyboards to type this.
FYI;

IT4 is channel 24
Freesat 117
Sky 120
Virgin 118

also available on the ITV player (still need a proxy tho) broken link removed

The UK TV licence is required to view TV on a TV in the UK, the BBC get all the money and pass a bit onto Channel 4, ITV is fully funded by adverts so I cannot see an issue viewing ITV from outside UK as long as you view the adverts ;) .

Absolute b.s.
All TV companies that transmit in the UK mainland including N Ireland pay for a licence to the UK government including cable.

To quote;
“Every household, business or institution in UK including Ireland with a television or equipment capable of receiving a television signal (using an aerial, satellite dish, cable or other means) must have a television licence.”
This includes owning just a video player.

Unless you are one of the lucky people who live outside G.B. and are on the European mainland who can receive the TV transmissions from the UK even as far as Spain & Portugal you will get caught sooner or later.
If you live in G.B. and have no T.V. licence your address will be red flagged every time a TV detector van comes in your area.
Wink, wink to you too :!:

We don't have licences for TV users in Australia. Do you get a better service for your money ? Our commercial TV is abysmal - full of ads .
