I did the reverse. I got the bike to self-steer then adjusted my riding style to suit it. That is the problem with doing this type of change, you have to live with the consequences of your actions. Apparently the first commandos were unstable and a few novice riders go chucked off after riding over 'cats-eyes' - probably over-reacted where an experienced rider would have simply ridden through the problem ? The next model had different fork yokes.
