Excellent adventure :D

I read you paid euro 85 at the Croatia, direction Novi Sad border for a green card, cost me euro 50 in 2006. Don't you think the border guards are a wee bit corrupt?

I thought Romania and Serbia were the most interesting countries during my trip.

I did ask the lady who took my money if a bribe would be cheaper, she was a bit pissed with me and was clear to point out that it was Government Rules, not a backhander! Heading in a similar direction this year (but not on the commando) and will have my green card organised this time. Yes Romania certainly was very interesting & the people OK despite the bad press they get in other countries.
I see your in the Czech republic, a friend of mine from there was the most vocal in warning me not to go to Romania and had all sorts of horror stories for me, glad he was wrong!

Maybe it's not a case of corruption but only inflation?

Often in Europe, people from western countries are sceptical of their eastern neighbours, but travel broadens the mind. :)
