Tracking '73 850 USA History

I have a couple of other posts on the go, bought a '73 850 Roadster recently here in New Zealand, very straight and original , with low miles. It was sent to the US from the UK brand new, approx April 1983 and then left the States for NZ in 1998. Engine no : 302822, G/box and frame the same no.s. I don't know what State it was first registered in, is there anyway I could track/find it's history in the USA/

I doubt it, unless you can get the title from the US owner.
