Well the warranty is with the manufacturer isn’t it, which given recent news counts for not much! I’m in the same position and wondering if for such a low use bike it’s worth hanging on or let it go. I took it out today for the first time in 4 months, and it was a lovely thing to be on. Few bikes could match that experience.

What’s the street going to be worth now? Everything sells if the price is right but who knows what the norton audience is now?

Just ride it and maintain it. Tyres brakes plugs etc are available, you may only have it once, or are you secretly hoping that it is a wise investment?

I'd say, short term, hold on to it until the dust clears from the financial implosion.
No telling what will come afterwards.
Maybe a deal can be concocted by officers and creditors to continue Norton in some form or fashion.
Anyway, no time to panic now, it won't help anything.

In UK consumer law the maker 's warranty is in addition to consumer rights with the retailer, so the goods still have to be fit for purpose and this is the responsibility of the dealer. Now you have to be able to exercise that right but the last resort is the small claims court. It's likely the factory will not resurface but there are enough bikes around for support to develop as there will be money to be made. You could always turn up at Henry Coles gaff.

Right now it is a terrible market for all things 961, you’d have to give it away.

Time heals, opinions will soften, prices will recover and improve (case in point: Heskeths).

Thanks for all your input think it makes sense wait for the dust to settle worst case scenario exspensive ornament in the lounge but don’t think it will come to that did speak to Krazy horse who were very good did say still ample parts available and we’re going to look after there customers , I was more concern ie warranty but as a few people have pointed out there still plenty of parts out there and there’s no reason for me to panic , at least I count my blessings and am not one of customer s who have paid up front or a Bike and have never received it let’s hope those at the top are made accountable for there actions.

Ride and enjoy! I have 3 bikes on the road and at the end of last season I was considering prepping mine for sale this Spring purely for financial/retirement planning .... but... my heart wasn't in it and I think too many 'nervous' current owners will try to dump their bike and prices will initially plummet. I've consoled myself to continue to be an owner for the next 36 mths and that puts a big, BIG smile back on my face :)

Thanks much appreciated used to have a few old 911 and got rid if only I’d kept still like Harley’s and have a 48 normally preferred the older ones but haven’t really got the time no more to maintain myself every time I’ve sold one I’ve regretted it so will try to find more time this year using them like you said can’t put price on big smile on your face

If you’re near Krazy Horse I’d say you’re as well placed as just about anyone. They’ll look after you.

Ride. Enjoy. Fix it when it breaks. Repeat.
