Tire changer

I forgot to mention that it is bolted to the floor.
One other thing- the bead breaker is a very simple affair with great leverage. I've used it on rusted up, severely stuck on farm equipment tires. It broke them free with ease.
For motorcycle wheels, throw an old heavy blanket down over the metal base before using the bead breaker.

Same here. I bolted it down to the concrete pad in front of my shop. I still concluded that it was useless. But now I think it might have been happy with it if I'd done the mods you did. Live and learn.

I'd been using a Harbor Freight bead breaker meant for car and truck tires to break the beads on motorcycle tires, but it required a lot of care, and I did manage to bend one Brembo disk in the learning experience. I recently bought a bead breaker designed for motorcycle tires, and wish I had done so much sooner.

I can see where a lot of damage could occur with that bead breaker. As long as the claw is only on the tire, and the rim is shimmed up so the brake rotor is in the air, it seems to work ok.
The mods I made were all conjured up by earlier users of the HF tire changer.
There is also a Mojo lever that is much like the NoScuff bar, however one reviewer had both and felt that the No Scuff bar worked a bit better than the Mojo Lever. The Mojo blocks are essential.

Or you could just spend a bit more and buy the NoMar Classic as Bill did. Those are shown on sale at $1039 US.

My no mar classic was about 875.00 to my door. I added the posi rim clamps and the yellow thing.
