Does anyone know where a fellow could purchase a throttle lock for a MK3. I had a 76 MK3 back in the mid seventies which I have kicked my ass for selling ( laid-off 80,s big recession ) I shipped the head and cylinders to George Gjonovich of HPI ( horse power international ) in California to install his 940 kit. George was TOP DOG for Norton performance.
His kit was a true 940 cc, with Arias pistons, over size valves, his own hot street cams, heavy SW valve springs, head flowed, ports reshaped to 32 mm and 34 mm carbs, pulling 80 plus HP. One could go all the way and get 101 HP. Dam thing would run as fast uphill as it would down. Ran that bike for many a year and never had any problems. Sent many a rice-burner and Harley rider home with their tail between their legs and NORTON exhaust on their face !!! Anyway that MK3 roadster had a throttle lock which was very nice for cold idle. It was a spring loaded lever that I think was part of the twist assembly and held the throttle for idle or highway ridding. Has anybody had any experience with this set-up and if so does one exist to purchase???? Thanks Hershey
