thread size

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question, what is the thread in the crankcase for the cylinder base studs on a 1970 Commando, ones stripped and needs helicoiling.

On a '70 model the case to barrel studs are 3/8-16 into the aluminum and 3/8-26 at the nut end. (Except for the stepped stud which is 3/8-16 and 5/16-26). 1972 and later were 3/8-16 X 3/8-24.
