Yes, usefull to the restorer or collector of an original Dunstall. Not cost effective or effecient if looking for better braking as there are much better and lower cost options. With limited experience using Dunstall exhaust sytem and rear sets, I avoid Dunstall equipment due to poor quality which means they break more than they brake.

Those calipers integral in the fork legs has also been mentioned as problematic in heating the fork oil too,
so the damping needs to be fairly carefully considered...

There is apparently no problem whatsoever with heating the fork oil, which they do with great efficiency, the problem is the lack of braking!

Dunstall was no fool. he considered winter ......Remember riding in winter? All through the collage days...comming out of cass to jump on the bike in Summer was a joy...then cold, dark slushy winter ....But at 18 who cared?......Riding in snow was normal as it is today..well only for a few..... Ludwig!!

History...That's whats in the water, the Old greasers will be watching these...40 years ago a Dunstall Dommie was better than .......? well what ever.
Bet these fetch £1250 plus.

Simon .Thanks for pointing this out...may have a bid ....Dunstall stuff is rare..if out dated....

Hi

Been through this before But we used a set of these with Tz disc pads cut to suit. As my mate Rob says people may not rate them now But & this is the key point. They were better than the drum fitted before them. Ray used them at the TT Phil Read won a world championship with them.
Lots of misconceptions about them. Biggest problem is mastercylinder feel & the fact that if they are not stored right the piston corrodes & pretty much destroys the bores.

£1131.11 plus £15 was the price these went for. Fine if you are building a period bike I guess but i personally would have spent that much money on a more modern an hopefully effective setup.

I can't help but think though that somewhere in China or India (or both!!) Some people are thinking they could make some copies an sell them on Ebay for alot less an still make a profit. After all just look what's happened over last few year's.

Ive complained about "over restored" cars and bikes for years. Now, "patina" is in fashion. After all it is only original
once.
This being the case, my recent 850 rebuild glistens far beyond any showroom condition Norton. I just cannot accept
the dings and dust of daily life I suppose. ;-)

Im not unaware that the Patina Crowd spends not a cent on paint, polishing or chrome. And if the motor smokes, then
you hear "the engine has never been apart".
