Commando's are getting to be like old Harley's, a basket of parts costs about as much as a decent sports bike, before the real spending can begin. Inflation from creating money out of nothing is how banksters and Gov't steals our money and drive prices up faster than our earning ability can keep up with the pace. So withhold reflex opinion of prices being asked as the real blame is beyond our control. Consider what ya pay for milk or gas by the gallon now with just a couple years ago. Search the post about the values of Cdo's in one piece vs piece by piece prices. 5000+cost to retrive it, then add another 5-8000 to get a head turner out in public.

A 1978 Commando? I don't think so. Not very encouraging if he can't even get the year right.

Ian

A headless Commando junker for 5k?

Good luck to the vendor, but I dont think so!

Interesting that your (USA) prices are catching up with ours over here (UK).

They're not, this guy just wishes they were. He must be on crack to think he can get that much for a junker like that. Craigslist is full of listings like this. You see them reposted day after day, week after week...

I agree with you on the inflation/ creation of money by the present FED---hold tight my friend---you haven't seen nothing yet---the worst is yet to come.

Yes, but sadly, our brains have not.

I fear that you are right. Interesting that a Norton Forum is a canary in the mineshaft.

I'm so long steeped in the history and mechanics of fractional usury fraud - my whole life was re-arranged around it - to point i even out bankstered the banksters enough to enter hi end of nortoneering. The bleak future they have stolen from us and those who follow and the notices of lost family, friends and riders has a lot to do with my attitude and deep involvement with Nortons to have the best time I can while still can. Two motto's come to mind on pulling the trigger on more Norton stuff, Irish saying we ain't here for a long time, just a good time, and an awesome ex-wife who would often say, Life is Short Eat Desert First, so we did, for a time.
