Things to say when your Norton dies!

Check for a corroded old ground point . Clean up with emery and reassemble with dielectric grease tightly. Now you owe me one of those VB beers. Aussies. :roll:

So check all grounds around frame (red wires) ? VB's are icey cold in the fridge!...welcome anytime!

Also has anyone used a Hella ignition switch to replace the lucas...if so which one?

I was running the test light around this morning....checking for power into boyer box....nothing, so checked ignition....nothing, I really poked at the terminal and whala! Lights up!...quickly back to boyer wire, I have power!......went to town and bought a Hella ignition switch....park, off, on and start/return ( like a car)
I just wired up the park and on section and prodded kick start tentatively.....it's fired and idled.

Now I've just gotta pull the carbs and do the needle jets as running rough between just past idle to full!

But I'm happy!, no it's just carbs no other white mans magic!.....even snuck a couple of strongbow ciders into the afternoon VB's!
