Very nice. That should be enough for some impressive top speed numbers. What rpm are you getting the horsepower peak at?

Looking good Eldo. Impressive considering it just came out of the barn - Herb knows his stuff and there's probably more power and torque with a little more dyno time and fettling.

From your peak HP numbers, it looks like every ten MPH equates to about 740 rpm. That puts the center of the little trough on the left side of the torque curve at about 3,478 rpm.

I would really like to hear about the rest of the build. What gear box are you running? Any streamlining?

Looks like an AMC gearbox. I would consider a TTI six-speed if allowed.

Me too, but they are a bit pricey. When we were running the 920 engine in our streamliner, we used a heavy duty Quaife 5-speed, and made a lot of runs with it with no problems. When I switched the 920 into the featherbed, and added nitrous for 2014, I was using one of the older standard Quaife 5-speeds that fit in the AMC shell, and are not as sturdy. I only got two runs with full throttle and nitrous before things broke on the engine, but the gearbox held up fine. It helped a lot that I run a 1.75 ratio primary. Eldo might be ok with a stock AMC box, particularly with a taller ratio primary, but a 6-speed would certainly help stay in the powerband, which can be quite important in the top few gears.
