T140E plug colour opinions

What CR pistons did you go for?
I went for the 8:6 1 pistons.
The cylinder head on my T140 is 0.030" underside due to skimming, so to keep the crush on the prt seals in the right ball park, I've fitted an 0.080" copper head gasket (which is 0.035" thicker than standard) but to keep squish as near as I could, didn't fit a barrel base gasket that got me 0.020" thickness back towards the squish. I used Loctite 518 here instead.
The low CR ones as used on late bikes and the Gilardoni barrels
I didn't realise that I had low compression pistons in before.
Is your Gilardoni barrel and pistons servicable apart from the pulled threads?
I spoke to Patrick at Seager Engineering about the situation, and he thinks that he can save them and if so will sell them complete with pistons, new rings and possibly re-nicasiled from his F.B. page I think he said. He said that when sold he would give me an amount of the profit.
One of the reasons that I went for new cast iron barrels was the time factor getting the barrels repaired. It was likely to be quite some time and I didn't feel like waiting.
