Ashley ; do you get ' the vibes ' with yours , in the pegs or bars ?
The late 60s Atlases were said to blurr the handgrips at 90 mph .
Maybe lead plugs in bar ends aka Moto Guzzi would sort out the Atlas .
( was generally refered to in road tests )
Spoke to a chap whod rode his down from Europe to N. Z. ( apart from the wet bits - ride to Singapore ) New , who was flogging his spares , bike long gone . A Farmer .
a few chains and odds and ends for $ 150 , - passed on that. He said the grips shuddered at 90 . asked what speed he cruised at , he said ' 90 ' .

so that gives it a bit of perspective .
The general complaint about Atlases though WAS Vibration . So Balance factor , Vibe Period/s r.p.m.s / locations ( pegs - tank - bars etc ) would be illuminateing and enlightening .Please . :?:
Now ive gone all dewy eyed .
And have to put a picture ( well , almost a picture ) of a Combat 750 Manx , on . Maybe someones got the Magazine . thus can rectify the quality of the sorely tried cuttings .
Id think the 72 on Norton the equal or better of the Triumph , at least for a Road Bike . :? Tourque & powerband rather than Buzz Saw . Though a long rod ( 650 Based ) fine fin A R E alloy 750 pre unit Trumpy might just about match it ,
particularly if you made a similarly finne cylinder head . not much in carb & valve sizes , so a one piece crank big bore 81 stroke Norton could match revs , or 89 stroke for if the missus insists on coming along .
seeing its the 22nd century in another 100 years , and assumeing you could meet the budget .
Heres this olde dunngere againe , just to show its not a totaly hopeless contraption .
One thing about the Hinkley Version ? Whadus it WEIGH , do you know .
