Good morning:

I suspect this question has been answered, but several different searches on this site and on Google didn't come up with any pictures or details.
Basically I want to fabricate a bracket that will support the swingarm and the transmission plates so that I can roll the chassis around during a rebuild, without the engine being in place. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Bike building season is coming soon, and I want to be ready to roll! (sorry, bad joke!)

Thanks Chris and p400!.. I like the sturdiness of the CNW bracket. I would be happy to see any other versions, esp. someone who has built one themselves, and might have the critical dimensions. Again, Thank you!!
 
It would be nice to this elaborate AN bracket in place.
Maybe you just get the gold piece and tube/bolts!

Here you go, in situ in real life! Yes, you get the plate and spacers, not sure you get the bolts, can’t remember. It works well. But the cNw looks nice and sturdy IMHO. The AN one is £39.50 + shipping to US, so I’d say price isn’t a decision maker here...

I have this one, or similar. Works fine but is a bit fiddly with the spacers and such for set up.
The CNW looks more like plug and play. Here in the States I would go CNW.
The one caveat is it takes more storage when not in use.

Someone on here posted the dimensions with a picture. I can't find the post, but saved the pic with the dimensions. Can't post pic, cause I ain't VIP, and ain't using any free service. Looking at the plate from the Engine Drive Side, to make a template, Here you go.

Drill a 9/16" hole to accommodate the front ISO bolt. Going toward the right, rear/cradle, 245mm, drill another hole 7/16" for the top engine/cradle bolt.

Then from there measure downward at 90* from the top engine/cradle bolt, 153.3 mm and make a mark.

From that mark measure 64.4 mm @ 90* back toward the front ISO. (Parallel to the first 2 holes you drilled) Drill your third hole. 3/8" or 7/16" if you have a MKIII.

I hope this helps, personally I use industrial Ty Wraps from the cradle to the front ISO tabs.
 
Well I ain’t posting the dimensions from mine.

If a supplier has taken the time and effort to design a really good and helpful piece of kit and sell it for a reasonable price, I’ll be f*cked if I’m gonna plagiarise their design on the internet !

At some point, we should respect what suppliers are doing for us, and support them, by BUYING from them !!

There seems no need for a brace to have a 3-point fastening.

A 2-point brace works just as well because it still prevents the cradle from pivoting around the Iso. stud.

Well, maybe not that special, but it definitely won't be standard. 666 because I bought the bike on 06/06/06. As I think I said, I have got nearly all the bits needed for the build, and am just starting out on their assembly. These are the only pictures I have of the bike as I bought it -...

Until this thread I had no idea any such thing existed. I used a ratchet strap.
