because my fork tubes hit one side of the tank when fully locked, I'm hoping someone has crossed this bridge before and can suggest how to limit steering. my right side frame stop has either worn down or was ground down too far from the factory, either way, I need a fix as I am switching to a metal tank which is slightly larger than the factory glass tank for my 70 commando. Frame is powdercoated so the thought of building up the frame stop isn't a desired choice. next choice is to move the tank as far back as possible but that will also require I also move the seat back bout an inch which will require the corbin to get modified, which probably is the easiest mod but still hoping to solve the turning issue before other mods are considered. Any ideas?

I take it you have the 70 frame with the early stops welded on the headstock? I moved my F/G tank back as far as possible, but with your corbin.... Could you drill and tap a bolt into the stops? I know it's a pretty small tab to work with, but it may be worth a try. Or drill and tap a stop on the lower yoke?

that's what someone else suggested to me ...I would think it would be easier to do something with the back of the triple tree, vs trying to mess with the frame stop. Thanks.

If you come up with something I'm sure others would like to know. Right now I don't have a problem, but if I get a new metal tank, I may.
