Sticky Mikuni

So every time I wash my bike the single Mikuni starts sticking for a few miles! I tried not getting water on the carb, but still seems to stick for awhile and the cable's just fine. Anyone else experience this.

cover the carb in a plastic bag next time and see what happens afterwards,,,,,,,,,don't power wash the bike either use a hand cloth and a bucket of suds. Rinse with a fine spray from a hose if necessary ......then go for a ride

Don't be a-washing your bike. Hand cloth towel wipes with judicious spray cleaner products when need be. Then polishes. Water and sunlight both badly. Soap hurts bearing greases and cable and carb lubes. Use love and time and care. :wink:

Put a standard Amal mk2 carb spring inside it, it's too light. Sold mine now but sure that's what I did. Google it.
