Does anyone know what battery to use with a Steve Maney Ignition?

No charging ability Mike, it’s a Boyer based job.

As such I would imagine a 12 volt battery would be required, how big depends how often you want to charge it.

Not sure how Lithium Iron batteries would perform in a total loos system though. Anyone know?

It's a question I need answering for a Dommie racer I am building. As I understand it and have found on my KTM exc a Lithium battery needs a proverbial kick in the pants to get going. Like you have to wake it up before it puts out fully (cycle the starter a couple of times). So I was wondering how that works in the above scenario.

Might give Steven Maney a ping - before he quits responding. Might add a smallish stereo subwoofer capacitor or factory Blue Can, to fill in Li lack of power spike delivery - until it warms up to the task. I've pow wowed with Li battery vendors for stereo use to be told not workable as can't sustain the needed draw like antique lead chemistry can. Could get bigger Li or put two in, if room enough.
