Three of my SS engine mounting bolts sheared off with less than 500 miles on them. They are NOT hardened bolts and I think should NOT be used for engine mounts. I am concerned about the ones that we we used to join the cylinders and head together.
I worked with stainless pipe and bolts in the plumbing and fitting industry for many years in pharmaceutical and brewing plants. Stainless is a very touchy metal. It will seize together without using anti seize . It is a very hard metal but a very brittle metal.
What does anyoneelse think ?
