Having a heck of a time with the parts book which shows 22888 as the part number. Closest thing I can find is 06-0627, but I'm unsure if it's the right ratio?

Does anyone know if all commandos had same drive ratio of 15:12 or did the early commandos use something like a 5:4. . . Very confused and hoping you can help!

Thanks in advance,
Dave

According to my copy of the '68 -'70 pars book, it's 06-0627.

If your '68 model's speedo is the original "solid green blob" MPH item, and is type: "SSM 3001/02 1000" (printed at the bottom of the dial) then 15/12 is the correct drive ratio. The standard Commando 15/12 drive gearbox would be: BG 5330/171.

("22888" is 2:1, apparently).
