rennie k. yes indeedy, luvly pics. only on my computer they seem to be cropped width wise. in the photo of the kit's hardware i can just see a glimpse of the nut in question only i can't tell if its 5/6 (cylinder nut ) or 3/8 (head stud nut)? either way i'm probably trying to find a one off kit item so i will be better to fabricate or relieve the cylinder or box end
for better access. now on to pistons. does anyone know which "budget piston" everyone sells would work with either hastings rings or a good 3 piece oil scraper rather than cast? the shallow landed piston or the deeper. which did oem have? do all 750 pistons have valve reliefs in the crown? whew, so many questions. thanks very much, biggles

Try changing your screen resolution to 1024X768 otherwise I can email you some photos if you PM me with your email address.

I was thinking this thread might make a valuable resource for others dealing with 810 kits so I was thinking I should add some info on the pistons. Can you add "Dunstall 810" to the front of your 1st. title? It may show up on a google search that way and be of help to others. (I'm not sure how that works)

I'll follow up with piston details.

I found my original invoice. Rip van Winkle's past is slowly coming back to him! My kit was purchased in 1978. Here is some info on the pistons.

Feel free to fill in the blanks where I have underlined the missing words in the 3rd. version of the instructions.

My kit was purchased in 1978 and looking at the piston stampings I assume the date of manufacture would be 1976 at the earliest as that looks like when the pistons were made in Italy and the eventually shipped to Paul Dunstall for inclusion in my kit bought here in Canada in 78. Here is some info on the pistons.

RennieK the number 76 on top of the piston is not the date of manufacture but the size of the piston (76mm bore)

I just woke up with that thought and got out of bed to change it before you guys noticed it. I had it in my head the bore was 83 for some reason so that must be something else. In my sleep I was thinking why put the date of manufacture on a piston top? I'm going back to bed, will change tomorrow.
