Any one know if there's a specific pantone/code for the orange SS tank? I'm going to send mine off next week.

:)

Used on 750 Roadsters as well. With gold logos and striping. Mine is in Tangerine with silver logos and lining. Not standard but it was like it when I got it. It has grown on me.

I matched it up from the original tangerine inside my steel side covers, to a modern Glasurit paint. If you want the number I can fish it out, I have the touch up tin with the code on it. Or if you want the hole tank in Tangerine with matchining side covers I have them available for sale. Perfect condition, in black writing for an 850.

Cheers Richard

I've got an NOS Hi-Rider tank in Tangerine gel-coat. I bought it to obtain a colour-match for my Roadster tank and then realised of course that they were 'Signal Orange' which is quite a bit different.

The painter and I had already matched it to a 1970s Talbot colour with a French name that we pidgeoned as something like 'Orang-Utang's Arse' but I can't find that in any on-line listing.

I quite like the shape and had thought about building something in the spirit of the Street Scrambler but I don't suppose that I'll ever use a fibreglass tank now. If anyone's desperate for one, let me know !

stockie2,

The code would be great, thanks! :) It'd stop any chance of "Looks about the same" mentality

If I'd known you'd got a tank/panels for sale back in..err...Sept/Oct?, would have definitely bought them off you.

I'll keep your offer in mind, see how my one ends up.

Cheers for that.

79x100,

That's a nice looking tank. I would have gone for an original fibreglass tank one too, but for all the horrors the unleaded fuel does to them now :(
