Spark Plug Cleaning

When I was running my nitrous Hayabusa the earth electrode was supposed to be sacrificial and would burn off completely during a run if the fuel supply was insufficient. However, that didn’t stop it running despite no electrodes. Sadly, it would also burn the exhaust valves out at the same time

Fast Eddie. I never had a problem with the bike after that. Most of its riding was around Christchurch. Very flat and limited to 30 mph. [ where you couldn't get away with going a bit over.]

The last rally ride id did before the lockdown, I had left the bp6es plugs in the Norton. No trouble. OLD WIVES TALES STILL PERSIST IN MODERN TIMES.

Back in the late 60s early 70s when my brother and I were still at school, we were messing around with clapped old 2 stroke Villiers engined bikes up the woods, they regularly oiled the plugs.
Now our old dad had a lodge plug cleaner, that he'd probably inherited from his dad. this consisted of something that looked like the old metal cigar tube one used to get, but it was full of straight wire strands about 4 inches long, you screwed the plug into the open end and shook it. It was excellent and I wish I still had one, ive occasionally looked on ebay but never seen one.

Sounds not too difficult to make.
