Spacer between head stock bearings

There's no effective locking on the standard crankshaft nut securing this and they have a habit of coming loose. I've fitted a SRM nut which has a hexagon drive so I can apply a good bit of welly to tighten it but you never know even with loctite.
On my A10 from memory it has a split pin to stop the nut from coming off but nothing to actually keep the nut tight, so I see what you mean,
I made a tool to fit the crankshaft nut with a 1/2" socket welded to it ,I tighten this with an air spanner to make sure it's tight
Apologies to the original poster for getting off track

If any one else is deciding to replace the single ball bearing set up in the headstock for sealed bearings. and you find the spacer to be too short. a replacement is available from RGM Pt. No. 100006
Fitted it yesterday & is spot on:)
