Today was the day for the annual club ride from Moorpark to Ojai, via Santa Paula, but but the road from Santa Paula to Ojai is closed due to massive landslides from the recent rains. The ride still started in Moorpark, but the route changed from Santa Paula, stopping at the SP airport for show and tell at the hangers, then on to a burger joint near Carpenteria for lunch, and return. I wasn't able to make the ride, but since it's only seven miles from my house to the start of the ride in Moorpark, I rode my 961 over and back, just to see how the turnout was. It was pretty good, considering that it rained all night before, and the roads were still damp. I took some pictures.

Ken

Thanks for the pics Ken.

As heinous as it might sound to some of the more upstanding AN citizens… that pair of Triumph chops/ bobbers caught my eye.

I had some tremendous fun on a very unpretentious Triumph chop when I were a lad and I still get the urge now and then today …

Those Triumphs are built by Rocky Viviano.

👍
I wanted to build a chopped Triumph something fierce in the late 1960's, but I was a poor young white boy at the time. Best I could do was a Schwinn 10 speed.

So… build one now then…!?

And… post pics so we can all enjoy it…!!

:) I don't have quite the same amount of enthusiasm today.

This is as close as I got with a Norton in the 70's. Comical, but it did run pretty good.
